Appointment information for private, worker’s compensation, third party & public patients
All patients need a referral from a GP or specialist to see Dr Ferch.
As we are a busy practice Dr Ferch will triage referrals so that urgent conditions can be given priority appointments.
Private Patients / DVA
Insured patients
Please phone 02 4920 8114 to arrange an appointment. We ask that you or your referring doctor email your referral to admin@drferch.com.au.
If possible, please also have the results of any recent scans or other investigations emailed to Dr Ferch.
You will received a text message a couple of days prior to your appointment and it is appreciated if you could respond to the text.
On the day of your appointment please bring your Medicare Card, Health Fund Card and age pension card (if applicable) or DVA Card.
Workers Compensation / Third Party
Approved claims
Please phone 02 4920 8114 to arrange an appointment. We ask that you or your referring doctor email your referral to admin@drferch.com.au. You will need to arrange with your insurance company/case manager to forward an appointment approval to us prior to your appointment.

Public Patients
Uninsured patients
Dr Ferch does not see public patients in his private rooms. He has an Outpatient Clinic at the John Hunter Hospital for public patients.
To contact the Outpatient Clinic phone 02 4922 3912 and have your referral faxed to the Referral Management Centre on 02 4922 3900.
